WALD erleben - The forest and the seasons at the Haus der Natur
Whether spring, summer, fall or winter: A visit to the forest is a special experience all year round. Depending on the season, the children go together in search of the first heralds of spring, take a close look at the animals on the forest floor, collect colorful autumn leaves or get to know the animals' winter quarters. They experience Bonn's city forest with all their senses.

The environmental education program for kindergartens and schools at Haus der Natur has been named an official project of the UN Decade on Biodiversity for exemplary projects that are particularly committed to preserving biodiversity in Germany.

Kottenforst - a green jewel above the rooftops of Bonn
Nature, relaxation, adventure - it doesn't always take a long journey to escape everyday life for a while. The Kottenforst forest stretches over more than 40 km² above the rooftops of Bonn and offers unique habitats for flora and fauna. With the Kottenforst.DIGITAL project, environmental educators want to show the forest from new perspectives. They spent a year in Bonn's city forest with their cameras. In response to the Corona-related discontinuation of many extracurricular educational offers, this short portrait of the forest was created in addition to the popular video series on environmental education at Bonn's Haus der Natur.
